TO OLD AUCKLAND GALLERY
|Auckland Waterfront about 1908.
Quay Street after the rain. A view looking eastward from the stern of a sailing ship berthed at the foot of Albert Street. On the right is the Harbour Board Building. Moored astern is the small Auckland registered barquentine Ysabel with her sails broken out to dry and a sailor working on the footrope of the upper topsail yard.
The paddle ferry Birkenhead is alongside the North Shore Ferry Landing, beyond which is Queen's Wharf. In the distance is Mount Victoria on the North Shore.
This was completed in 1995.
